In fact, I'm online today buying a replacement set for the one I've been using for over a year (battery leaked inside base and killed the contact!). You can easily switch between FM stations, and from radio to your computer/MP3/TV by using a button on the headset. Volume is controlled on the headset. Both the headset and base run on batteries, so you don't need to have yet another electrical outlet available to use these. I am totally amazed at how long the base will transmit on a pair of AAA batteries. In fact, I never had to replace the batteries in my unit, which is why I didn't realize one of the batteries was leaking. I must admit, that I don't use the headphones more than about an hour each day, but still, the battery life is great. I really love that I can walk into my kitchen -- 2 rooms away from the base -- and still have good reception, so I can listen to music from my computer while doing dishes, making dinner, etc. You can't beat this unit for the price. Note: I don't use it for TV; just use connected to my computer for playing music, or listening to FM radio.
